A
Borrowed Angel
Lord,
this prayer's not for me,
but for a friend of mine.
I have all I need, but
he's run out of time.
The doctors say, that
there's not much hope.
But he still holds tight,
to the end of the rope.
Lord
I know there's an angel
around all the time.
But for now could he
borrow an angle of mine?
Lord, he loves you, this
man and his wife.
And in your hands, he'll
put his life.
Chorus Lord,
my angel has watched over
me.
For now, at my friends
side, could my angel be?
It hurts me to see my
friend in such sorrow.
So could you be with him?
And my angel you can
borrow.
Recitation
The
doctors say there seems to
be hope.
My angel has helped him to
hold to the rope.
My friend knows now to
look to tomorrow.
And all that it took, was
my angel he borrowed.
Sometimes
in life we tend to give
up.
But all that we need is to
drink from the cup.
Then we will see far past
tomorrow.
And Lord, I thank you for
my angel he borrowed.
Chorus Lord,
my angel has watched over
me.
For now, at my friends
side, could my angel be?
It hurts me to see my
friend in such sorrow.
So could you be with him?
And my angel you can
borrow.
